With Kayla Hampe’s engineering acuity and her passion for service, it’s no surprise that she’s been honored as one of WZID’s 20 Outstanding Women for 2025!

The 2025 winners of the WZID recognition.

WZID’s recognition highlights women who are making a difference in New Hampshire. Kayla’s heart for service means she contributes near and far – while she travels on service projects around the globe, she’s also on the board of directors for SENH and has been shaped by her involvement with NCSEA. Locally, she volunteers with NHSPCA, taking care of homeless shelter cats, and she’s also very involved in her church.

When it comes to structural and hydraulic intellect, Kayla is already a force to be reckoned with, having been named New Hampshire’s Young Engineer of the Year in 2022. But aside fromA photo of Kayla standing with a cutout that says she's outstanding in 2025. Many of her colleagues have donated to the causes she has worked on and have watched her travel the world to serve rural communities with her engineering skills. When she was asked to talk about her newest spotlight, Kayla didn’t know this honor was coming.

“This honor came as a complete surprise and brought tears to my eyes when I received the notification at the end of my service trip to Guatemala in February,” Kayla said. “Words can’t express how touched I am to know that others see the impact of my volunteering efforts and are affected by them too. I love sharing my experiences with others and showing what service means to me, and how it can be done at a local level or out in the world. Seeing all the other Outstanding Women and their accomplishments really highlights the variety of service opportunities we have and makes me proud to live in New Hampshire with these great women.”
