We are excited to welcome Dana Martin, PE to Hoyle Tanner as a Project Manager in our New England Municipal Engineering Division!
Dana brings nearly 15 years of experience in municipal engineering and project management, supporting communities through the planning, design, and delivery of public works projects. Her expertise spans water, wastewater, stormwater, and other civil engineering projects, delivering practical, high-quality solutions.

Most recently, Dana served as the City Engineer for the City of Gloucester, Massachusetts, overseeing a variety of municipal initiatives and planning efforts. While working as the city’s Environmental Engineer, she managed water and wastewater treatment operations and ensured compliance with federal and state regulatory programs. Earlier in her career, Dana served as a Senior Project Engineer, where she led and supported water infrastructure design, capital improvement planning, permitting, construction coordination, and client management for municipal projects throughout the region.
Dana is an active member of various professional organizations, including the New England Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation, New England Water Environmental Association, and Essex County Highway Association. She also serves as a professional mentor for the Tufts University Chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
With firsthand municipal experience, Dana offers a valuable perspective on the challenges public agencies face and aligns project goals with stakeholder priorities. Dana will be based in Hoyle Tanner’s recently expanded Chelmsford, Massachusetts office, where she will collaborate with clients and project team members to deliver effective solutions for the communities we serve.
