Project Summary

Hoyle Tanner designed two culvert replacements on Sunset Avenue. This project included preliminary design phase services, including civil/site layout, structural design, quantity calculations, specification oversight, administration of plan preparation and shop drawing review. Final design and bid services, including state and local permitting efforts and cultural resource coordination, and developing existing and proposed 2D hydraulic models.

We also were responsible for designing and permitting the project, and also administering the construction phase. Two bridge structures were designed using similar geometry and materials to fit both site conditions by improving design and construction efforts efficiencies. Both bridges were bundled into a single contract, which was constructed by a local contractor. This allowed a single mobilization and created numerous efficiencies that resulted in lower project costs.
