Professional Achievements
Tim founded T.F. Bernier, Inc. in 1993, building a respected full-service land use planning and development consulting firm. The firm provided planning, land surveying, environmental permitting, design, and approval services. These services are provided with a focus on commercial and residential development and redevelopment, wetland mitigation and restoration, and stormwater management and hydrology. His work in these areas contributed to thoughtful, sustainable development throughout central and southern New Hampshire.
Land surveying remained the cornerstone of T.F. Bernier, Inc.’s services, and under Tim’s leadership, the firm earned a strong reputation for precision, reliability, and client service. When Hoyle Tanner acquired T.F. Bernier in 2024, Tim and his team brought with them decades of experience and a client-first philosophy that aligned seamlessly with our values. Since the acquisition, the team has grown from four to seven employees, further strengthening our surveying capabilities.
Transition and Future Plans
As Tim prepares for retirement, he is focused on ensuring a smooth transition for his clients and colleagues. He has invested significant time in mentoring and training staff, sharing his knowledge and experience to ensure clients continue to receive the same high level of quality and care. His leadership has helped position the team for continued success, and his legacy will be carried forward through the people he has developed.
While Tim will be greatly missed in his day-to-day role, his influence will remain an integral part of Hoyle Tanner’s surveying practice. We are grateful for his years of dedication, his contributions to the firm, and his lasting impact on the industry.
