At Hoyle Tanner, leadership is more than a title—it’s a commitment to continual growth, intentional guidance, and long-term client and team success. As part of that commitment, several of our senior leaders recently attended the PSMJ Principals Bootcamp, an intensive two-day training focused on firm leadership, strategic planning, and best-in-class business practices for A/E industry executives.
Much like our investment in our project managers through the PSMJ Project Manager Bootcamp, this latest experience reflects our core belief: strong leadership is built through continued learning, collaboration, and a willingness to adapt.
Refining Our Approach
The Principals Bootcamp provided valuable insight into how successful firms navigate growth, build sustainable operations, and empower future leaders from within. Civil Engineer Marisa DiBiaso, Environmental Engineer Kirstin DiPietro Worden, and Senior Project Manager Suzanne Sheppard attended sessions on shifting market dynamics, evolving client expectations, workforce recruitment and retention, and emerging technologies. They returned with a deeper understanding of how these trends influence financial strategy and culture-building within the ever-changing engineering industry. The bootcamp reinforced that leading effectively means creating an environment where others can thrive—where clarity, accountability, and mentorship drive results.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to continuous improvement—not just in the infrastructure we help build, but in the leaders we’re proud to grow.
