We are excited to announce that Structural Engineer Katie Welch has been appointed Director at Large for the Structural Engineers of New Hampshire (SENH) Board of Directors.

The SENH Board of Directors refers to the leadership team of the professional organization dedicated to advancing structural engineering practice in the state. The Board, comprised of experienced structural engineers from New Hampshire and beyond, is responsible for the organization’s strategic direction, financial oversight, and the promotion of collaboration, education, and community within the field.

Katie earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and began her journey with Hoyle Tanner as an intern in 2015. Since then, she has grown into a key technical leader – working on bridge and infrastructure design and rehabilitation, leading stakeholder engagement projects, and mentoring new team members.

Katie’s commitment to professional development with SENH began when she served as Co-Chair of SENH’s Professional Development Committee in 2018. The committee serves to help shape continuing education programs and events for the membership. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to her profession, Katie was also honored as New Hampshire’s Young Engineer of the Year in 2024 – a testament to her technical excellence, community service, and leadership.

As Director at Large, Katie brings a deep understanding of both engineering excellence and the dedication to mentoring the next generation of professionals. Her new role underscores Hoyle Tanner’s commitment to the structural engineering community and continuous professional development.

Please join us in congratulating Katie on this significant achievement! Her leadership continues to inspire and elevate our profession.
