Hoyle Tanner announces the merging of our Southeast and Northeast Aviation Services to create one group – Aviation Services! This new Division organizes 20 professionals who have worked together for decades to deliver a wide variety of aviation projects for our clients. Restructuring will further increase our focus on our clients’ needs, create project delivery efficiencies, facilitate design for larger, more complex projects and create more opportunities for our professionals throughout our aviation team.
The merger allows the Division to facilitate agile decision-making to benefit our clients. An additional benefit is the ability to cross-train our team members allowing for consistent coaching, training, and mentoring to create increased team expertise.
The Aviation Services Division will be led by:
- Robert Furey, PE, is the Division Manager and will be responsible for the overall management of the Hoyle Tanner airport design team including project execution, team building and staff development, business development, and adherence to our Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program. His primary focuses will be team strategy, growth and resource allocation, financial oversight, and overall direction of the Division.
- Nils Gonzalez, PE, the former Airport Engineering Manager, will serve in a new position as our Principal Airport Engineer, maximizing his talents as a lead technical engineer. Nils will serve as a project manager on large and complex projects and serve as a senior technical leader and resource to our design teams.
- Wilbur Mathurin, PE and Suzanne “Suzy” Sheppard, PE will serve as the Southeast & Northeast Airport Team Leaders, respectively, managing day-to-day project delivery, training, team coaching and mentoring. Wilbur and Suzy are respected senior leaders within the aviation community and resources to all team members working to prioritize project effectiveness to meet our clients’ expectations.
