Meet Logan Brinkman – Transportation Engineering Intern & Pet Lover
What drew you to Hoyle Tanner?
The location in Burlington, community-based mission and values, and diversity of the projects.
What’s something invaluable you’ve learned here?
I have learned what to expect from a full-time engineering job. Specifically, what is important to remember from college and how to communicate with colleagues and clients.
What’s your favorite time of year to work at Hoyle Tanner & why?
Summer because it’s the only time I’ve worked here and there are site visits during the summer construction window.
What’s the coolest thing you are working on & why?
A scoping study. It was interesting to experience the community outreach portion of design and develop a better understanding of the entire process a project undergoes.
How many different states have you lived in?
I have lived in Vermont and part time in New Hampshire.
What kind of pet do you have & how did you choose to name it?
I currently don’t have any pets, but would like to get a cat and/or dog in the near future.
What is a fun or interesting fact about your hometown?
It has a population of less than 1,500 people and is 25 minutes from the nearest grocery store.
What are three things still left on your bucket list.
Three things on my bucket list are to spend a week in Europe with my friends, own a house, and go skydiving.
Name three items you’d take with you to a desert island.
I would bring a metal water bottle, knife, and fire starter.
