31 NBIS Bridge Inspections
Project Summary
In support of MaineDOT’s bridge inspection program, we performed a total of 31 NBIS routine bridge inspections throughout central Maine. The inspections were element level inspections following the MaineDOT supplementary inspection guidelines.
Our inspection teams consisted of two, two-person teams all of which are NBIS certified inspectors. The bridge types included box culverts, rigid frames, metal pipes, concrete tee beams and concrete arches.
Inspection access was typically gained using waders or kayaks. A bridge inspection report was created for each bridge utilizing the InspectTech Program and submitted to MaineDOT.
