Bill has been promoted to Principal Engineer! Bill is a senior civil engineer responsible for leading our civil/site design and construction services for private and public sector clients. He applies his pragmatic “get it done” approach to every project providing his clients with the valuable results they know they can count on time and time again. Due to his decades of successful experience in the civil engineering profession, he thrives as a hands-on mentor for our up-and-coming engineers and is a primary resource for construction administration and engineering for a wide variety of infrastructure improvement projects.
Nils Gonzalez | Principal Engineer
Nils has been promoted to Principal Engineer! He is a talented lead technical engineer, leading large and complex aviation projects. His dedication to detail and his commitment to solving problems makes him the go-to person for our aviation team when engineering questions arise. Nils leads all ranges of aviation projects in design and construction from small obstruction removal or fence projects to multimillion dollar runway, taxiway, and apron projects. All of his acquired skill sets contribute to his integrated approach to airport infrastructure improvement projects.
Kelly LaVigne | Project Manager
Kelly has been promoted to Project Manager! Kelly is a structural engineer with over a decade of professional experience specializing in the development and design of transportation infrastructure projects throughout Vermont and New England using traditional and alternative delivery methods. She is known for being a skilled communicator with strong project management and organizational skills who excels at forming effective and cohesive teams. Kelly mentors junior staff on the development and design of transportation infrastructure projects and is an asset to our Ground Transportation Division.
Ryan McMullen | Senior Project Engineer
Ryan has been promoted to Senior Project Engineer! Ryan is a committed engineer and a valuable support to our bridge team in Portsmouth, NH. His experiences include developing bridge engineering studies, preliminary design reports, drafting of preliminary and final design plans, and inspection of fracture critical bridges. He has performed construction administration for pedestrian and simple span vehicular bridges, and has been on site to inspect precast concrete bridge elements. Emily Belisle | Project Engineer
Emily has been promoted to Project Engineer! Emily works with our New England Municipal Engineering team on a variety of land development and environmental projects. She is experienced in design, data collection, data processing using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD and ArcGIS. Her background includes asset management, quantity cost estimation, construction administration and oversight, linear utility and site design. | Emily recently received her NH PE!
Nahal Namazi | Senior Accountant
Nahal has been promoted to Senior Accountant! Nahal has been devoted to improving our accounting processes and improving her own skills. She has pursued her Master’s of Accounting while working full-time and maintaining high work standards. Nahal’s proactive and positive demeanor has been essential in upholding the financial health of our clients’ projects.
Kevin Preston | Senior CADD Designer
Kevin has been promoted to Senior CADD Designer! As a project designer, Kevin is experienced with CADD drawings, roadway design, interpreting design plans, and construction oversight. Before joining Hoyle Tanner, he worked as a Senior CADD Technician preparing drawings that are project compliant. Kevin is proficient with various software platforms and remains committed to integrating the latest software innovations into the project designs.
Amy DeCola | Staff Engineer
Amy has been promoted to Staff Engineer! Amy is a published environmental engineer with Hoyle Tanner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and her Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Vermont. Amy was a co-author of “Microbiomes for sustainable biomanufacturing” in the Current Opinion in Microbiology journal. Her recent blog, “Repurposing Waste to Produce Energy while Mitigating Climate Change,” focuses on her thesis work and presentations at local conferences.
Joshua Howard | Staff Engineer
Josh has been promoted to Staff Engineer! Despite a heavy project backlog and a small team, Josh consistently takes the initiative on various complex projects.. He is self-motivated and completes every task on time and thoroughly. He has become very proficient in civil design with both AutoCAD and HydroCAD which provides continuity with every project. Josh is a very valuable member of our group and has allowed us to grow and be successful. We are lucky to have him as part of our team.
Samantha Lewis | Staff Engineer
Sam has been promoted to Staff Engineer! Sam is an environmental engineer in our New England Municipal Engineering team. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Western New England University. Lily has been promoted to Staff Engineer! Lily works in our Burlington, Vermont office as a civil engineer for our New England Municipal Engineering division. She has several years of experience in solar layout, access road, and stormwater design. She has worked on the design and permitting process of proposed solar sites in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. She is a valuable asset to our team!
Zachary Roussel | Staff Engineer
Zach has been promoted to Staff Engineer! Zach has a variety of experiences in transportation and construction oversite which guide his decisions in the Ground Transportation Division. He entered the industry as a construction inspector and oversaw the installation of transportation and stormwater infrastructure in the area surrounding the Burlington, VT waterfront. This experience has given him a unique perspective on the construction process at the installation phase which informs his design decisions.
