The VTDEC retained the services of the Watershed Consulting Associates team to develop public-private partnerships (P3) to meet the Stormwater General Permit for parcels with three or more acres of impervious surface. This project completed the identification and stormwater assessments of potential 3-acre sites to assist municipalities and private landowners with compliance with the VTDEC stormwater general permit requirements for three or more impervious acre parcels in the Lake Champlain Basin. As part of the Watershed Consulting Associates team, Hoyle Tanner developed 10 conceptual (30%) stormwater practice site designs and project cost estimates across a number of municipalities in the Lake Champlain Basin that contained 3-acre sites. These designs maximized phosphorus reductions in a cost-effective manner, prioritized infiltration practices, as appropriate, and incorporated green stormwater infrastructure.
