Jake Sparkowich, PE, PTOE, RSP1 – Technical Engineer
Jacob specializes in roadway and traffic engineering, helping New Hampshire municipalities and New England state agencies address complex transportation challenges. His expertise spans roadway geometrics and site grading, temporary and permanent traffic signal design, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, stormwater BMP design, and utility mapping. For projects of all sizes, Jacob brings a deep proficiency in design software including Synchro, SimTraffic, SIDRA, MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, SignCAD, and HydroCAD.
Daniel Taylor, PE – Technical Engineer
Dan has 18 years of experience in the design, detailing, and delivery of state bridge projects. His expertise includes providing structural engineering services for bridge design, analysis, inspection, and load rating projects for clients such as NHDOT, MaineDOT, and other agencies throughout New England and across the country. Dan’s attention to detail and deep knowledge of structural systems help make the bridges he designs durable, safe, and built to serve their communities for decades to come.
Bridget Elsemore, PE – Senior Project Engineer
Bridget has more than 12 years of experience in drainage, roadway, stormwater management, grading, site design, and permitting. Her background also includes geotechnical field and lab testing and inspection, giving her a strong foundation in the full project lifecycle—from design to implementation. She is proficient in AutoCAD (LDD and Civil 3D), HydroCAD, AutoTurn, and Visual Professional Lighting software. Bridget’s technical versatility and acumen makes her a valued resource on complex infrastructure projects across multiple disciplines.
Aidan Short, PE – Project Engineer
Aidan focuses on stormwater and wastewater projects for clients throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. He specializes in hydraulics and hydrology, applying modeling and design principles to improve water quality and infrastructure resilience. Aidan is also part of Hoyle Tanner’s RISER Group, an internal initiative focused on reducing the company’s environmental impact through sustainable and innovative business practices centered on resiliency, innovation, sustainability, and renewables.
Catie Hall – Marketing Manager
Catie Hall is a Marketing Manager and Associate at Hoyle Tanner, where she leads the firm’s marketing team in developing proposals, strengthening social media engagement, and enhancing visual storytelling. A strong advocate for continuous improvement, she’s helped expand the firm’s digital presence, introduced in-house photography for corporate headshots, and streamlined the proposal coordination and review process. Catie is passionate about clear, authentic communication that connects people with the projects shaping their communities.
Joanne Theriault, CWS, AWB – Senior Environmental Scientist
Joanne specializes in vernal pool ecology and environmental permitting. Based in our Manchester office, she brings expertise in fieldwork, regulatory compliance, and GIS mapping to support the environmental team’s diverse project portfolio. Joanne’s curiosity extends to all things that creep, fly, root, or grow – her enthusiasm for natural systems makes her an exceptional advocate for ecological integrity.
Stephanie Bishop, EIT – Staff Engineer
Steph focuses on the design of bridges and structures, technical writing, and cost estimating for municipal and state agency projects. Steph’s technical precision and versatility allow her to contribute effectively to complex projects, ensuring that every structure meets the highest standards of safety and design. Steph is also involved in many firmwide initiatives and sits on committees, like our Innovation & Operations Committee, RISER, and our new AI Strategy team.
JJ Holstein, EIT – Staff Engineer
JJ has experience in design and quantity calculations, as well as shop drawing review for municipal and state agency bridge projects. He is skilled in Mathcad, OpenBridge Designer, MicroStation, ABLRFD, Eriksson Culvert, and BAR7. JJ completed his master’s thesis on the Development of UHPC Composite Impact Panels and has a passion for material science—his research focused on the bonding behavior of thermoplastic polymers to UHPC and E-glass fibers using a stamp thermoforming process. JJ’s innovative mindset and research-driven approach bring valuable perspective to the firm’s structural team.
Nick Eagan, EIT – Staff Engineer
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and is currently pursuing his master’s degree. Since joining Hoyle Tanner as an intern in 2021, he has contributed to a variety of projects through his work in OpenRoads modeling and cost estimating. Nick’s background in sustainability allows him to approach projects with a holistic perspective, integrating environmental considerations into every stage of design. His technical insight and forward-thinking mindset make him a strong asset to the transportation team.
