We are excited to announce that Senior Transportation Engineer Jacob Sparkowich, PE, is now a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer® (PTOE).
To become a PTOE, applicants must have at least four years of professional traffic operations engineering experience, have a valid professional engineer license in civil, mechanical, electrical, or general engineering, and pass the Professional Traffic Operations Engineer® exam.
Jake’s expertise is in roadway and traffic engineering to meet the transportation challenges and opportunities of a diverse group of clients. He has extensive experience in developing roadway geometrics and site grading, temporary and permanent traffic signal designs, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, stormwater BMP design, and utility mapping. For projects large and small, his proficiency includes working with a multitude of design software platforms, including Synchro, SimTraffic, SIDRA, MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, SignCAD, and HydroCAD. Jake earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of New Hampshire in 2012.
Jake is looking forward to using his new certification as an increased opportunity to assist clients with traffic solutions.
