What drew you to Hoyle Tanner? |
| Being from NH and growing up utilizing everything this state has to offer, I wanted to start to build my professional career focused on the seacoast where I have lived for the past 15 years. When I first met my engineering buddy Audrey Wagner and our colleague Michael Dyer at the career fair at UNH last fall, I was immediately intrigued by how many disciplines Hoyle Tanner has to offer in-house. After doing some research into what bridge and highway projects the company has completed over the years, I knew that I wanted to begin my career surrounded by the well-rounded professionals at Hoyle Tanner. |
What’s your favorite part of the company culture or something invaluable you’ve learned here? |
| As for culture, there is not a day that goes by without a group gathering for lunch in the office or on the patio where you are always cordially invited to enjoy everyone’s company. |
What’s a lesson you’ve learned from a colleague or what’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received? |
| The best piece of advice I have ever received is to listen when being spoken to and to feel heard when speaking. In a professional setting, a person’s voice is what allows their ideas, wisdom, recommendations, and passion to prosper and help benefit their environment whether it be a weekly meeting or a quick hallway conversation about a project. |
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you recently (this week, this month, this year)? |
| The best thing that has happened to me recently was a decision to finally decide to live on campus with three of my closest engineering buddies for my upcoming senior year at UNH. Going back to being surrounded by my education and the friends I have fought through classes alongside is now something I am looking forward to. |

What is one thing still left on your bucket list? |
| Though my bucket list will forever grow as my personality and aspirations develop, one concrete item on my bucket list is visit the top 10 fly fishing rivers in the world across North America, Europe, South America, and Africa. |
