Joshua Sklarsky is Hoyle Tanner’s first Chief Technology Officer, bringing more than 15 years of experience in IT, data, and technology leadership across research-driven, mission-focused organizations. His background spans the U.S. Department of Energy, nonprofit sustainability organizations, and fractional CTO and CIO advisory roles, where he has led enterprise system modernization, data strategy, and technology governance through periods of organizational growth and change.

At Hoyle Tanner, Joshua leads Hoyle Tanner’s internal technology team and coordinates closely with executive leadership to advance technology strategies that improve operational efficiency, strengthen data-driven decision-making, and support the firm’s evolving services within the AEC industry. He is particularly skilled at translating complex technical challenges into practical solutions that enhance organizational performance and client deliverables. His experience navigating federal, state, and local energy policy, government grant programs, and compliance-driven environments further strengthens the firm’s capabilities in highly regulated project settings.

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys an active family life in with his wife, their three children, and their dog. When he is not spending time with his family, he can be found training at his gymnastics gym.
