Meet Aleah Sullivan – Marketing Intern & Trail Trekker
What drew you to Hoyle Tanner? |
| I noticed the emphasis on environmental preservation. To me, caring for the environment isn’t just nice, it’s a necessity. Hoyle Tanner takes pride in providing communities with more long-term, sustainable infrastructure to help not only retain the beauty of our earth, but to also make sure that future generations can experience it! |
What’s your favorite part of the company culture or something invaluable you’ve learned here? |
| I really love the tight-knit community that Hoyle Tanner is. They really care about associates and show their appreciation for us in many ways. On my first day with the marketing team, they took me out to lunch to celebrate. Grabbing lunch with them felt like four friends just catching up, something that you look forward to after a long week. Hoyle Tanner makes me feel important to them, even in an entry level position. I think that’s very rare to find! |
What’s a lesson you’ve learned from a colleague or what’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received? |
| The best piece of professional advice that I’ve received is this:
“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you’re right.” Although it may be a bit cheesy, this quote has rewired the way that I see myself professionally. You’ll never know what you’re capable of if you don’t try. Having the slightest bit of confidence can make mountains seem like anthills. And if you fail, you just learned what not to do. 😊 |
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you recently (this week, this month, this year)? |
| In May, my husband David and I just had our one-year wedding anniversary and June marked our 5 years being together. Time flies when you’re with the right person! |
Outside the Office
What did you want to be when you were growing up? |
| I wanted to be an artist (and still do)! When I was younger, I thought to be an artist you had to stick to one medium forever. But I’ve learned that I make art every day, whether I’m drawing digitally for Art Fight, making a graphic for the Hoyle Tanner Newsletter, or decorating a cake at my bakery job. I’m actively fulfilling my dreams that I’ve had since a young age and seeing the fruits of hard work and creativity right before me. I can’t wait to see where my art leads me next! |
How many different states have you lived in? |
| I’ve lived by the NH Seacoast my whole life! It will be very hard for me to move away from the ocean… |
What is one thing still left on your bucket list? |
| Exploring Asia & hiking Mt. Fuji. |
