City of Laconia

Asset Management Program

Laconia, NH

Project Summary

In collaboration with the City of Laconia, Hoyle Tanner is developing an Asset Management Program (AMP) utilizing NHDES Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) funding. Horizontal wastewater and stormwater assets as well as vertical wastewater assets which include 18 pump stations were inventoried and assessed condition and performance ratings. Working with the City, the Hoyle Tanner team developed an asset management worksheet to develop prioritization of assets based on condition assessment and criticality.

This important initiative allows the City to determine where capital investments need to be directed and prioritized based on risk and criticality presentation. As part of our services, the Hoyle Tanner team hosted workshops, prepared work order forms, created level of service objectives and goals, performed updates to the City’s GIS database, and trained staff. In the upcoming phase of the program development, Hoyle Tanner will prepare life cycle costs for financial planning, assist with development of a funding strategy, and prepare a final report.
