Runway 15-33 Funding Grant Assistance
Runway 15-33 Funding Grant Assistance
Eastport Municipal Airport, Eastport, ME
In 2019 the Federal Aviation Administration advertised a Notice of Supplemental Funding for potential airport improvement projects focused on rural communities with the goal of improving life safety, creating jobs, and provide a long-lasting economic impact. Hoyle Tanner worked with the City of Eastport to generate a competitive grant application, enhanced with electronic hyperlinks to aerial drone footage depicting the proposed project. This visual embedded within the application was helpful in the FAA’s decision to fund a runway rehabilitation project, valued at $5.8M. This grant application was for Supplemental Federal and State Funding above and beyond what an airport would normally receive.
