Meet Jonathan Crowdes (LLS, CPESC, CESSWI) – Land Surveyor & Soccer Junkie
What’s your favorite time of year to work at Hoyle Tanner & why?
Mud season, but I’ve only worked here since March, so that may change.
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you recently (this week, this month, this year)?
I started playing ice hockey again after a 41-year hiatus. Turns out I’m not as good as I remember myself being.
How many different states have you lived in?
New Hampshire, Vermont and Arizona. All good places to live, in their own ways.
What kind of pet do you have & how did you choose to name it?
2 dogs, 2 cats. We let our daughter, 3-years-old at the time, name the first one… a kitten who was named “Cupcake,” then we found out he’s a boy. The parents consulted on the naming of the other 3.
What is a fun or interesting fact about your hometown?
Hopkinton, NH – former State Capitol and bustling train stop between Boston & Montreal.
What are three things still left on your bucket list.
Hawaii, that will make all 50 states. Drive a race car, on a racetrack. Back country ski trip out west.
Name three items you’d take with you to a desert island.
A machete. A flint fire starter. Duct tape. (Probably only really need the duct tape though).
What characteristic do you admire most in others?
Sincerity.
How old is the oldest item in your closet?
I had some dress shirts that were circa 2000 but my wife wouldn’t let me wear them out in public, so those finally went away (I don’t dress up much). I still have several T-shirts easily over 25-years-old hidden away.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A professional hockey player…TBD.
What’s your pump-up playlist or song lately?
Whisper to a Scream, by Icicle Works.
