We are excited to announce that Todd Clark, PE has been elected to the Board of Government as its Secretary for the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section (BSCES). BSCES is a subset of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is a professional organization focused on programs, events, and initiatives that support the civil engineering profession.

Having been part of BSCES for nearly two decades, Todd has served in various roles on the Transportation Committee, and the Transportation and Development Institute, including serving as chair for both.

When asked why he got involved with BSCES, Todd said, “For me, it was about connecting with people that have similar interests in the engineering industry. By being an active member, it has allowed me to meet so many new people and advance my career potential.”

Todd’s career in civil engineering has focused on transportation related projects including highways, municipal roadways, and bridges throughout the New England region. As our Transportation Services Group leader, he oversees the professionals responsible for plan and permit application development, utility conflict resolution, project cost estimates, contract document preparation, and bidding and construction-phase services.

When asked what positive impacts he hopes to make as part of his efforts, he said, “As a member of the BSCES Board of Government, I look forward to contributing my time and effort towards finding and supporting new initiatives to benefit the entire civil engineering profession, both now and in the future. Recognizing that associations need to be nimble and resilient to change, I hope the contributions I can make to the organization will have lasting impact on its members. With the changing times, I remain optimistic that civil engineers will continue our essential work to better communities for all.”

Please join us in congratulating Todd on this election by his peers.
