We are excited to announce that Stephen Haas, PE, of our Transportation Services Group has been elected President of the New Hampshire Chapter of the Institute of Transportation (NHITE). Steve has been with Hoyle, Tanner for nearly 12 years and has provided roadway and traffic design services to municipalities and state agencies throughout New England. He has been a member of NHITE for over 10 years serving on its board since 2014 in positions of Program Chair and Vice President.

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is an international membership association of transportation professionals who work to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users and help build smart and livable communities. ITE promotes professional development and career advancement for its members, supports and encourages education, identifies necessary research, develops technical resources including standards and recommended practices, develops public awareness programs, and serves as a conduit for the exchange of professional information. As President of New Hampshire’s Chapter, Steve will be responsible for organizing quarterly meetings, promoting ITE locally, coordinating with the New England Section, and providing support to other NH engineering societies.

Steve’s goals for NHITE include continuing to provide quality transportation related education and networking events; improving new and young member recruiting; and improving website content, layout, and traffic.

Please visit NHITE at http://www.neite.org/NH/ for meeting information, industry links, and membership information.
Please join us in congratulating Steve on this new venture.
