Sean T. James, P.E., recently accepted the position of Regional Manager of Bridges and Structures. With over 19 years of experience at Hoyle, Tanner, Sean possesses the expertise required to take on this leadership role and continue the growth and development of our New England bridge engineering practice. Most recently, Sean served as the Group Manager for our Manchester, New Hampshire bridge team leading a growing team of professionals on a variety of bridge engineering projects for state transportation agencies and municipalities throughout New Hampshire.

Sean is a licensed Professional Engineer in six states, in addition to being an active member of various professional associations including: Structural Engineers of New Hampshire (SENH) as a Past-President, National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges (NSPCB), Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), and Vermont Covered Bridge Society. He is also a National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) certified bridge inspector.  Equipped with professional certifications and publications, he will surely carry out his responsibilities with experience and passion.

As Regional Manager, Sean will manager our teams of bridge engineers in our New Hampshire and Vermont offices and be responsible for current and future projects in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Maine.  In this new capacity, Sean’s expertise will allow us to further grow our reputation as a leader in the New England bridge engineering field.
