Project Summary

Hoyle Tanner provided the design and construction administration services for the addition of two sets of 10-unit T-Hangars the Flagler County Airport. These new aircraft storage units were sized for Design Group I and II aircraft to a wingspan of up to 60′ wide. Modifications were made to the prefab building that maximized the interior space for storage purposes. The new hangars are compliant with fire code restrictions including a two-hour rated fire wall and equipment constructed to prevent smoke and liquid transfers between hangars. Additional design elements included fire lane access, vehicle parking and connector taxiplanes. In anticipation of future development opportunities, the Hoyle Tanner engineering team’s design included a culvert for the main drainage canal that drains the north end of the airport.
