Paul Hobbs is a senior project manager and structural leader with more than three decades of experience delivering complex infrastructure projects. He brings a strong foundation in structural engineering, with expertise in the design and evaluation of facilities including schools, hospitals, and water treatment plants. Paul is known for his disciplined approach to project leadership, setting clear direction, managing risk early, and maintaining accountability across project teams.

In 2023, Paul joined Hoyle Tanner to focus on environmental and municipal infrastructure, applying his structural and building science expertise, in particular concrete remediation experience, to clean water and wastewater projects. As Design Phase Project Manager, he leads coordination between our Site, Structural and Environmental groups, and outside consultants providing Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Controls services, while also engaging with the client, community and funding agencies. He establishes project priorities early, aligns teams around scope, budget, and schedule, and strives to make decisions based on an understanding of constructability and life-cycle performance.

Paul’s leadership emphasizes practical solutions, efficient coordination, and informed decision-making throughout the design process. His current work focuses on extending the life of existing infrastructure, evaluating life-cycle performance, and reducing the carbon impact of construction materials and methods. He builds strong, collaborative and engaged relationships with clients and project teams, serving as a steady, reliable advisor from project initiation through delivery.
