Meet Campbell Gladski – Airport Planning Intern & Lifelong Avgeek
What drew you to Hoyle Tanner? |
| I met an employee based out of the Oviedo office and was interested because he spoke so highly of the company. Being from the New England region, I enjoy that Hoyle Tanner works on New England airports from small to large. Since Hoyle Tanner is a smaller firm, I’m able to work on many projects because my managers are supportive and willing to help me grow. |
What’s your favorite part of the company culture or something invaluable you’ve learned here? |
| The company values a good work/life balance. This has stood out for me because I value my personal time, but also the effort I give at work. I’d like to work for a company where that is prioritized. Also, working with fellow aviation enthusiasts helps me bring my passion to each project. |
What’s a lesson you’ve learned from a colleague or what’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received? |
| My manager, Katie Servis, has given me lots of insight into her career and is helping me shape mine. I want to stay in Airport Planning/Operations, and she has extensive experience in both. Katie has become an encouraging mentor and is supportive of my goals in aviation. |
What’s the best thing that’s happened to you recently (this week, this month, this year)? |
| I was able to see Noah Kahan for my 5th time at Fenway for the Great Divide tour! |
Outside the Office
What did you want to be when you were growing up? |
| Growing up, I wanted to be a professional/fighter pilot! I have flown the C172 quite a bit, but I will continue flying just as a hobby. |
How many different states have you lived in? |
| I am from Rhode Island but have lived in 4 different states since. |
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? |
| I am always down for Mexican food, so I’d pick a taco bowl! |
What is one thing still left on your bucket list? |
| Getting my private pilot’s license and/or skydiving. |
What is a fun or interesting fact about your hometown? |
| Westerly, RI is home to the oldest carousel in America and Taylor Swift’s beach house. |
