Recently, the firm’s Directors met to name the officers and directors leading the company’s efforts for the coming year. In addition to the impeccable team members formerly identified as directors, officers and associates, additional critical members of the team have been added. Due to their dedication and diligence, the following individuals have been promoted to Directors:
Michelle L. Carrozzella, Treasurer, Controller and Assistant Secretary
Michelle is a graduate of Fitchburg State College with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Michelle has over 20 years of financial management experience in professional services and oversees our Accounting and IT Departments. She is responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls, and building a strong financial team. Michelle plays an instrumental role in the financial stability and future of our company.
Sean James, PE, Vice President & Northeast Regional Manager of Bridges and Structures
Sean leads a team of 20 design and technical professionals and has been with the firm over 21 years. The Bridge and Structures Group provides bridge inspection, ratings, rehabilitation, design, bid phase administration and construction inspection services for federal, state and municipal clients throughout the northeast. Sean has made over a dozen technical presentations at regional and national conferences, is a past president of the Structural Engineers of New Hampshire and past Chairman of the Candia, New Hampshire Planning Board.
Providing dedicated progressive service to the firm, the following individuals have been elected by Hoyle, Tanner’s Board of Directors to the office of Vice President in recognition of their service:
Nils E. Gonzalez, Vice President & Senior Airport Engineer
Nils has 27 years of experience serving airports throughout New England on a broad range of airport engineering projects. His expertise stems from his engineering design, planning and construction supervision work. Mr. Gonzalez currently serves as Airport Engineering Manager overseeing the airport engineering staff, CAD technicians and resident engineers. As Engineering Manager, Nils is responsible for maintaining standards across the Aviation Service Group, providing quality control reviews for project managers, mentoring project engineers and staying current on FAA rules and regulations. In a typical year, he manages 3-5 design projects during the winter and another 5 construction projects in the summer in support of our resident engineers in the field.
Jon A. Olin, Vice President & Senior Structural Engineer
As the Manager of the Transportation Services Group in Burlington, Vermont, Jon is responsible for client satisfaction, scheduling, staffing and allocation of resources, quality control, and success in Vermont for both public agencies and private entities. Jon manages our growing Vermont group of structural and highway engineers and construction inspectors. By providing the resources and inter-office support to develop each staff person and encouraging their pursuit of individual goals within the field of engineering, our Vermont team continues to exceed client expectations and flourishes with a vibrant office culture.
Andrew E. Sturgeon, Vice President & Director of Maine Operations
With over 36 years of experience in the AEC industry, Andy’s expertise focuses on business and relationship management, project permitting and design, and project management. Within these critical areas of the business, Andy leads the company-wide strategic planning initiatives, routinely manages day-to-day Maine operations and is intimately involved in business development and client relations.
Since 2001, Hoyle, Tanner has been electing professionals as Associates of the firm. These individuals have attained substantial business experience as well as demonstrated high-levels of project and resource management. This year we call to recognize the following individuals:
Aaron M. Lachance, Associate & Senior Structural Engineer
As a Project Manager, Aaron’s experience focuses on state and municipal bridge evaluation, inspection and design projects of varied size and scope. He also has expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, accelerated bridge construction techniques, and utility and roadway reconstruction. He is regularly involved with all phases of projects including assisting Hoyle, Tanner’s municipal clients with project scoping, development and funding procurement. Aaron is also responsible for managing and directing inspection and design projects, implementation of the firms’ quality control and assurance practices, and mentoring and training.
Linda K. McNair-Perry, Associate & Senior Structural Engineer
As the Building Structural Manager for the firm, Linda leads the group’s efforts in vertical design and the associated construction services. Linda’s experience as a Project Manager and Professional Engineer includes a comprehensive background in the design and analysis of structures and construction administration of projects. With over three decades of experience in New England, Linda has served in various industry associations, including the NH Building Code Review Board as well as NH Architects & Engineering Emergency Response Task Force, which affords her the opportunity to affect change that leads to advances within the structural engineering industry.
Kirstin A. DiPietro-Worden, Associate & Environmental Engineer
Having been with the company for 18 years, Kirstin’s experience includes environmental engineering for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, sanitary collection systems, small scale sewage disposal systems, and water transmission projects. Her experience also includes stormwater projects including design of stormwater treatment practices, development of flow restoration plans, and integrated water quality planning projects. In addition to her engineering tasks, Kirstin takes an active role in the development and growth of the young engineers we welcome to our company.
