Hartland Park & Ride CMG Park (25)

Hartland, VT

Project Summary

Hoyle Tanner provided design services for the expansion of VAOT CMG Park (25), a paved commuter Park and Ride serving residents of Windsor County, on US Route 5 and adjacent to Exit 9 of I-91. The Park and Ride was expanded from 20 parking spaces to 55 (including 3 handicap spaces) and added EV charging stations, LED lighting, concrete sidewalks, a bus shelter, bicycle racks and low maintenance landscaping along with new pavement striping and signage.

In order to maximize the Park and Ride capacity, land needed to be swapped between the State and an abutting property. Hoyle Tanner recognized this during the conceptual design phase and assisted VTrans throughout the project to develop the optimum Park and Ride for this location.

This Park and Ride was one of the first in Vermont to include Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations and LED lighting. Hoyle Tanner was pleased to be part of this exciting endeavor for VTrans as they look to the future of their infrastructure needs.
